The First Line Management course helped her to put ideas into practice which she hadn’t been able to do when she studied the theories at university. The course opened her eyes to the importance of sharing the reasons for making changes to affected staff.
Porsha’s circumstances changed while she was doing the course, but she appreciated the flexibility of being able to do more study before her baby was born and then catch up again afterwards. She also changed work roles and found that although she hadn’t used some knowledge and skills in her earlier role, this information was relevant in her new role.
